Grayson thinks that now that he's about to turn one, it's time for him to learn to drive! He had fun pushing buttons, playing with gadgets, and honking the horn- I turned on the car the next day and my emergency flashers were on and my windshield wipers were going at top speed! Hmm, wonder how that happened!

I have to say that I almost look forward to the great seafood in Gulf Shores as much as I do the beach- I guess that means I'm getting old! We went to several local restaurants that were very good! One restaurant that was recommended by several people was LuLu's- the food was great and the atmosphere was a lot of fun! We also ate at a restaurant called Desoto's that was very good. There was a fish tank beside our table that Grayson enjoyed looking into! It wasn't the kind of fish tank that we are used to around here though- this tank had shrimp, crabs, starfish, and several other little sea creatures- there was even an eel!

I'm sure the next beach experience will be quite different when these two little ones are running around!

Beach baby!

We recently went to Gulf Shores with Greg's family for our annual beach vacation! It was so much fun and also nice to just get away and relax for a few days. We were a little apprehensive about the trip down there with two babies, but Grayson and Ava were perfect little angels- thank goodness for DVD players! The beach was very nice and we had great weather the whole time we were there! Grayson liked playing in the sand, but he was not sure about the waves- of course, they can be a little intimidating to anyone at times! I'm sure he'll have even more fun next year when he's running around!

Grayson loves playing with his new toy! It is a car that he can walk behind now and ride on later. We've had it for a long time- it was a shower gift that was given to us several weeks before he was born, but I never imagined the day that he would be playing with it would come so quickly!
