Little man at work!

I've noticed that in the last few months that Grayson's play is not as much random, but more intentional and organized. He will place an object in a certain place and if I happen to move it somewhere else, he is right behind me moving it back to where he originally had it! It's so funny! He was doing that with the buckets in the pictures above. I was laughing because he kept this serious look on his face like he was very busy working and did not want to be interrupted! As I was taking his picture (over and over, of course!), he gave me this look like he was saying, "Lay off the pictures, I'm busy!" And if anyone knows our family, they know where that attitude about having his picture taken came from!

Day at the park!

Monday was a beautiful day, so we spent the entire day outside- except for the trip to the grocery store, which Grayson loudly displayed his displeasure! After grocery shopping was finished, we played in the front yard and then took off to spend the rest of the afternoon at the park. He had a great time playing on the slides, swings, and also running after all the little girls! We knew two of the little girls from church. The older one is about 2 years old- Grayson and her would just point at each other and smile and laugh! It was very cute!

What a masterpiece! Thank goodness for washable markers! As you can tell, he drew on himself and the highchair- every once in a while, his marker made it to the paper!

Grayson is becoming a big help around the house! Instead of spreading toys to all corners of the house (including toilets and bathtubs), he is helping me clean! Yesterday I dropped a egg on the floor, so I brought the trash can into the kitchen from the utility room where it is usually kept. After I finished cleaning up the egg with some paper towels, Grayson pushed the trash can back into the utility room and put it back where it belongs! He also brings the dust pan and sets it beside the dirt pile when I'm sweeping! I'm so proud of my big boy!

Having a mess of fun!

Ethan came over to stay with us today on his birthday! His grandfather brought a cake and balloons over, so we had a little birthday party after lunch! It was SO funny to watch these two little boys tear into this smash cake- they definitely smashed it! They were both just squealing with laughter the entire time! After I stripped them of their cake smeared clothes, they ran around crazy for a while! I'm sure a little sugar buzz was taking effect! It was quite a mess to clean up, but it was sure worth it to watch them having so much fun!
